Our Value Differentiators

One of the primary value proposition Responders offers its client is transparency of information. During the entire life cycle of association with our clients, we consider it our primary responsibility to keep the client informed of the statutory, legal, and code requirements and at the same time provide a clear understanding of the steps that needs to be taken to meet those requirements. Being a professional fire & life safety consultant, Responders also provides its client a thorough understanding on non-compliances and legal implications that may arise out of the same.

Notwithstanding the role and responsibility of professional consultant, Responders provide its customers a complete spectrum of information to enable them make proactive decisions concerning fire and life safety of its occupancy and its inmates.

Responders understands that all buildings are unique both in terms of design and challenges. Thus, we approach fire and life safety for each building depending on its uniqueness. Responders does not follow any preset pattern or template for assessment of risks and hazards of occupancies. Our approach to assessment and design is modelled on connecting the ‘Fire Load –Ignition Source –People at Risk’ triangle.

This approach to fire risk assessment and design provides customers with solutions which are occupancy centric without compromising on the statutory and code requirement as required under the provisions of legislations but at the same time practical and feasible.

Responders approach to engineering design perspective follow a perfect balance of conventional design approach and Performance Based Design (PBD). This balance of approach enables us to have more flexibility in terms of assessment of the impact of various fire scenarios on the space under consideration and its occupants.

Our flexible design approach can lead to significant reductions in construction costs, and make designs possible that would not be possible with only a conventional prescriptive design. It allows designers to answer “what if” questions and evaluate the effectiveness of various fire suppression systems, determine safe separation distances between fuel packages, and optimize the placement of fire and smoke detectors to minimize detection times. Redundant conservative and expensive building designs, as sometimes result under the conventional building codes, are prevented. By evaluating several candidate designs, our design methodology makes it possible to select a cost-effective design without compromising fire safety.

One of the major contributing factors to the service delivery to its clients lies in the availability of technical repository to Responders. Whether it’s the requirement of hydraulic calculation of complex water base system, or the requirement of linear heat detection mechanism, Responders possesses a strong repository of technical journals, case studies, codes & standards, books, periodicals, software, and access to technical forums to have in depth reference of all that is required to provide its customer a complete fire and life safety professional experience, which meets the legislative requirement, is practical, feasible and at the same time affordable.

Our subject matter experts are members of leading global Fire Safety professional forums like National Safety Council of India, National Fire Protection Association, Society for Fire Protection Engineers and Institution of Fire Engineers.
