Fire Risk Assessment
The Fire Risk Assessment of an occupancy involve intricate means and methods to identify threats arising out of the components present in a building or structure which can lead to potential fire scenarios. In this, the risk assessment team undertake extensive survey to identify, and collect data relating to fuel, source of ignition and people at risk. These collected data are then collated and extensively analysed using engineering models to derive Fire Load, Heat Release Rate (HRR) and Occupant Load. The results are extrapolated to determine fire safety parameters like Occupant Egress, Means and Methods of Fire Suppression required for the building or structure.
We refer BIS 15656: 2006, PAS 79 and NFPA 557 for its fire risk assessment methods along with software for engineering calculations.
